Hello! My name is Dr. Alyson Byrne, and I am an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at the Faculty of Business, Memorial University of Newfoundland.
I hold a PhD in Organizational Behaviour from Queen's School of Business, Queen's University.
Employment
Currently, I teach at both the graduate and undergraduate level in the Faculty of Business at Memorial University. I have taught courses in organizational behaviour, human resources management, leadership, team processes, and diversity.

Research
My research specializes in examining the interplay of status and gender, both in the workplace with regards to leadership and high-status roles, as well as in the home looking at breadwinning influences and work-family dynamics.
I have a number of on-going projects at the moment, including examining the impact of COVID19 on dual-income families, and determining the influence of breadwinning wives on family well-being and work attitudes.
